Moulded mandible in two parts

Maker
Kenneth Russell (b.1885, d.1945)
Date
Circa 1920
Description
This is a model of the lower mandible, cut through between the two left lower bicuspids and rejoined with a metal or brass attachment held by a screw and nut. The object is related to 2649, 2650 and 2652. All four models are complicated moulds, possibly used in a training exercise in the making of cast lower splints, although this is not an entirely adequate explanation of their use.
