Maker
The Australian College of Dentistry (estab. 1897, closed 1967)
Date
Circa 1930s
Description
This is a technically-excellent, pre-WWII denture replacing the upper right 5 & 4 and upper left 5, 6 & 7 teeth. The denture has a cast palatal bar, fitted tubes on the upper right 5 & 4, clasps on the upper right 6 & 3 and upper left 5, and Hekolite attached to the upper left 6 & 7, which is pink and shiny. The denture was made by an unknown student at the Australian College of Dentistry. It is a typical example of the high level of technical skill that early students were required to achieve.
