Small mortar and pestle set, with wax seal

Description
Part of a set of three mortar and pestles. They are made of stoneware. The mortars are covered on the outer surface with a white glaze overlaid with a leaf and flower design. The original designers seal set in red wax appears near the base.
Bought by Sir Douglas Wright and Lady Muriel Wilmot-Wright in China in 1972.
Dated by Mr Li Ping Du, Department of Asian Studies University of Melbourne.
