Pot. Iodide 6 3/4 oz
Ol.Euc. Glob.
Ol. Cajuput aa 2 drachms
Rectified Spirit 4 oz
Tinct. Gent. Co
Tinct Card. Co,. aa 8 oz.
Aq. Ad. 2 pints

"Potassium Bicarbonate ( alkinsing agent, useful in acid or rheumatic conditions. Potassium Iodide used in cough mixtures or stimulate thyroid activity. Colchicum specific for gout. Oil of Eucalyptus and Oilt of Ti-tree used to give medicinal smell. Compound Tincture of Gentian and Compound Tincture of Cardamon ( stomachics) may stimulate appeite and indigestion. A strong tasting and smelling recipe that would give more hope than relief. " Neil Hookey

T.P. Palmer prepared Palmer's Australian Magic Mixture which was taken internally for the cure of gout, rheumatic gout, rheumatism, sciatica, lumbago, etc. This preparation could be purchased from any chemist.
