Medium mortar and pestle set, with wax seal

Description
Part of a set of three mortar and pestles. They are made of stoneware. The mortars are covered on the outer surface with a white glaze overlaid with a leaf and flower design. The original designers seal set in red wax appears near the base. Mortar and pestle stained blue from use.
Bought by Sir Douglas Wright and Lady Muriel Wilmot-Wright in China in 1972.
