Description
Black and white portrait photograph of Sir Thomas Peel Dunhill in middle age, depicting his face and upper torso. The original backing board had dislodged from the photograph and has been destroyed. The photograph was originally framed but has at some stage been removed from the frame.

History of Object

This photograph was originally given to Violet Plummer by Dr. Julian Smith. Violet Plummer donated the photograph to either the British Medical Associaiton or the Medical Society of Victoria (these Associations merged and became the Victorian Branch of the Australian Medical Association). The A.M.A. donated its historical collection of documents and artifacts to the University of Melbourne's Medical History Museum in 1994.
