Two-piece monaural stethoscope

Description
Monaural stethoscope, vulcanite, moulded in two pieces. The chest piece has a large lip and attached stem, with an ear-plate.

This item was originally donated to the Medical Society of Victoria (which later became part of the Victorian Branch of the Australian Medical Association). The A.M.A. loaned its collection of historical documents and artifacts to the Medical History Museum in 1994, and donated it in 2011.
